Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, in June 2020, the Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) apart of Aura recently calculated that the pollutant levels of NO2 and SO2above the United States and other countries have significantly reduced. The data from Aura displayed that the change in the amount of these pollutants in the air was caused by reduced human activities and burning of fossil fuels.
