Watergate rediscovered

Aiming for Midway Airport, united Airlines Flight 533 was only a minute away from landing when it crashed in the South Side of Chicago, killing forty five people. One of those people was Dorothy Hunt, wife of E. Howard Hunt, who had helped plan and carry out the Watergate break-in. She had $10,000 on her in cash which is the equivalent of almost $70,000 today. While nothing was ever confirmed tying Nixon to this incident, he did appoint one of his aides to undersecretary of transportation the day after the incident, which gave him control over the investigation. He also nominated another aide to head the Federal Aviation Administration, and a third aide became an executive at United Airlines. Coincidence or conspiracy?
