Meet Martha Mitchell, wife to John Mitchell, Richard Nixon's right-and man. Known for leaking information about her husband's work to the press, Martha was a threat to the Watergate Scandal. While we were never taught about Martha, she was a big figure who spoke on Watergate at this time. Everyone who was alive to see it through knew her name. When on the phone with one of her reporter friends just days after the Watergate Scandal broke she was subdued and the line was cut. She was then forcibly kept in her hotel room in California for days before being tranquilized after a failed escape. Martha was quoted as saying "Nixon bleeds people. He draws every drop of blood and then drops them from a cliff. He'll blame any person he can put his foot on."
